History San José’s annual tradition of honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to the Santa Clara Valley continues at the 9th Annual Valley of Heart's Delight event coming Saturday, June 29, 2013.

This year’s honorees are Molly and Barry Swenson, long-time community leaders of the Santa Clara Valley. “We are excited to honor the Swenson family who have contributed so much to the Valley for generations,” said Alida Bray, HSJ President and CEO. “It is a particularly fitting choice since Molly Swenson was one of the original signers on the Museum’s Articles of Incorporation.”

Co-Chairs of the upcoming Valley of Hearts Delight event are HSJ Boardmembers Elizabeth Monley and Sean O’Kane. History Park will once again be filled with more than 400 guests visiting food stations filled with sweet and savory creations expertly prepared by Parsley, Sage Rosemary & Thyme. Guests will also enjoy live musical performances throughout the night and, of course, riding the historic trolley, hand car and horse drawn wagon.
