History San José’s annual tradition of honoring those who have made significant contributions to the Santa Clara Valley continued at the 10th Annual Valley of Heart's Delight event on Saturday, June 27, 2015. This year, we were proud to honor the many cultural groups that have helped make San Jose one of the most diverse cities in the nation.

We featured entertainment from cultural groups such as the Akoma Drummers, Los Lupeños de San Jose, and many more!

Proceeds from the Valley of Heart’s Delight event benefit History San José’s education programs – where history is serious fun! During the school year 14 unique programs provide curriculum-based field trips for grade school classes, combining hands-on activity with required history, language arts, and math standards.

Each year, more than 20,000 children, teachers and chaperones from Santa Clara Valley and beyond enjoy these memorable and fun learning experiences. During the summer HSJ presents Friends & Family Days that expand upon these programs, offering events and activities for the entire family. Year round we strive to keep the Valley’s local history alive.
